Michael J Griffin, 63, of Ocala, Florida passed away on March 24, 2026.

Born and raised in South Boston, (Southie) Massachusetts

Michael was a devoted husband, Father, Grandfather and all-round nice guy. He loved to tell anyone who would listen how blessed he was to have his family all under one roof. He lived to make us laugh and to make our lives better. He would always tell the family he would give us his eyes if we needed them. That is exactly what he accomplished through cornea donation. He gave his sight to someone who needed it.

He will forever be missed by his wife and soulmate, Lisa who he celebrated 37 years of marriage. After a career in facilities maintenance was able to retire early and spend 7 amazing years enjoying life together.

Michael was a proud and loving father to his daughter Ashley and his son Sean. He will be greatly missed by Ashley’s partner Matthew Tilton. He is the grandfather better known as “Pika” to his Grandsons Jacoby and Logan. Michael’s family was the greatest joy in his life.

He is also survived by a sister LeeAnn Mitchell, His Brother Stephan Griffin and deceased sister Barbara Platt. Michael is also survived by a nephew Jimmy, and his nieces, Stephanie and Christine. Along with their families. He will be greatly missed by his in-laws Danny Hellen, Joan and Richard Kane.
