Michael R. Heaney, 69, of Summerfield, Florida entered into rest on December 3, 2015. He was the husband of Theodora (Teddi) Heaney.

Michael was born January 13, 1946 in San Pablo, California to the late Earl and Minnette (Bergman) Heaney. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Chief Petty Officer during the Vietnam War and later in the Navy Reserve.

Michael later worked for IBM Computers repairing mainframe computers as a Computer Service Engineer.

Michael kept busy. He had two groups he played poker with, was a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do, a SCUBA diver. He also sailed, played golf, was a runner, and a weight lifter. He was a member of the VFW. Most notably, Michael was a fabulous husband to Teddi and a wonderful father to Tracy and Bill.

He and his family relocated to the Central Florida area from Iowa in 2010.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife Teddi, daughter Tracy Forseth, son William Marhoun, granddaughter Bailey Marhoun, 2 brothers, 8 sisters, and his dog Cody.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Jocelyn Marhoun.

A service is planned for January 13, 2016 at Bushnell National Cemetery.
