Obituary

Michael "Mike" Levesque, age 74 passed away peacefully in The Villages, FL on May 7th, 2024, with his wife and daughters by his side. Mike was a lifelong resident of Nashua, NH who retired to Meredith, NH and wintered in The Villages, FL.

Mike loved his family. He earned the name "Peppy" as a variation of the French "Pepere" for grandfather because of his energetic personality, always on the go and loving to keep busy. He prided himself on his clean car and helped to wash and wax his daughters' cars whenever visiting. He would never mind helping with yard work, repairs or painting. He would gladly research anything in his Consumer Reports when needed. Mike was our "MacGyver" determined to fix anything and problem solve.

Mike was happiest on beautiful sunny days and when enjoying the outdoors. As an unofficial meteorologist, he loved to remind us to "go outside, it's a long winter!" You could always find him playing golf, pickleball, skiing, kayaking, water volleyball, boating, hiking or on a long bike ride with the local bike club. He even accomplished ten marathons with the Gate City Striders and ran to the top of Mount Washington. He always remembered his training runs with the Magnificent Seven. He was even chosen as the face of "Despair" for an Adidas campaign on the seven stages of a marathon.

He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren on his boat on Lake Winnipesaukee. He was always willing to go out and play catch with his grandson. He loved to cheer on the Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots. He loved watching the grandkids' baseball, flag football and basketball games and theater shows.

Mike played his Bose radio up loud with 70's rock, the Beatles and the Moody Blues. He worked as an usher at the Bank of NH Pavilion after retirement just for fun and to enjoy all the music shows. He volunteered his time at Bolduc Park golf course during the summers. He was fortunate to travel all throughout the US and Europe. He and his wife recently enjoyed a 50th anniversary Mediterranean cruise.

He was born in Nashua, NH to the late Leo and Georgette Levesque. He graduated with a master's degree from Rivier University and undergraduate from Keene State College. He began his career as a Respiratory Therapist then spent most of his career in R&D at Nashua Corporation and later in Quality Control at Stonyfield Yogurt.

Mike was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Pauline of 51 years and his two daughters Kari Blanchette and her husband Kevin Blanchette of Manchester, NH and Lauren McKeown and her husband Patrick McKeown of Farmington, CT. He was a beloved "Peppy" to grandchildren Natalie and Gavin. He is also survived by his sisters Suzanne and Marie Levesque. He is fondly remembered by his in laws, Richard and Diane Bibeau, Michael and Denise Yanuskevich and nieces and nephews Megan Ebba, Ross Bibeau, Erin Corcoran, Katie Yanuskevich and many dear friends. He is also pre-deceased by in laws, Raymond and Mary Lou Bibeau.

Funeral services are planned in July at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Meredith, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or St. Charles Borromeo "Got Lunch" program.

Although he will be missed beyond measure we know in our hearts that those we love do not go away they walk beside us every day. We will forever cherish each and every memory we have made with him in our lives.
