IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Mullin
July 14, 1945 – November 10, 2023
Michael Barth Mullin (Mike/Mick), 78, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on November 10, 2023, at Advent Health Winter Park Hospital.
He was born on July 14, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio to James Thomas Sr. and Marjorie (Pitcher) Mullin.
Mike was a graduate of Boone High School and served in the United States Army for 2 years in military law enforcement. He continued his education at Florida State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology and a Master's in Social Work. He had approximately 15 years of clinical experience in a wide variety of settings and capacities before working in law enforcement with the probation department. His time there as a criminal court liaison is where his education and training were best utilized.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Yates) Mullin of Orlando, Florida; sister, Sharon Weiss and her husband, Jack; sister-in-law, Mary Mullin of Cocoa Beach, Florida; nieces, Frances Freeman of Rockledge, Florida and Katie Dubay of Cooper City, Florida; nephews, Jim Mullin of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Harry (Chris) Weiss IV of Windermere, Florida; and eight great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and James (Jim) Thomas Sr. of Orlando, Florida; and brother, James Thomas (Tom) Mullin Jr. of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Mike will be remembered most for his great sense of humor, kindness, and being a good listener and friend. He loved cars, car racing, traveling, animals (especially his dogs, Brandy and Porsche), FSU/college football, and spending time with family at Silver Birches. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
A private family celebration of life service will be held in DeBary, Florida on February 3, 2024. Friends who are interested in a celebration of life gathering at a later date, please contact Sharon Weiss at 407-790-7388.
