IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Proulx
January 10, 1962 – December 30, 2023
Michael Richard Proulx, 61, of Johnston, R.I., and Ellenton, Florida, passed away December 30th, 2023. Michael was born January 10th, 1962, in Pawtucket, R.I. to his parents Robert Proulx and Constance Proulx (Laprade).
Michael loved life and lived it to the fullest. A talented carpenter, he spent many hours at his craft, and he used his gift to help others with their various projects. He loved to golf and always hoped that someday his "game would improve." He also enjoyed cooking, traveling, hiking, and other outdoor activities. His wit and humor were well known, and he had a talent for finding positive outcomes in every situation. Michael's warm and welcoming nature (not to mention his infectious smile), made everyone feel at home.
One of Michael's greatest pastimes was spending time with his grandsons. He enjoyed playing with them, getting them in the dirt and pushing them on the swings. He also enjoyed mentoring his son Mike and helping him with various house projects.
In addition to his passions for carpentry and cooking, Michael enjoyed Bible study. His love for the Word of God brought about enthusiastic conversations with his loved ones, his friends, and especially his wife, Peggy. He used every opportunity to share his faith and his love for Jesus. He was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God in Johnston, R.I.
Michael is survived by wife, Margaret (Peggy) Proulx, son Michael C. Proulx, daughter in-law Kimberly Palumbo, grandsons Michael and Greyson Proulx, siblings Normand Mongeau, Jeannine Harrod, Dennis Proulx, Robert Proulx, Christine Lacourse, Paulette Clark, stepchildren, step grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael Richard Proulx will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His love for his wife, Peggy, and their many "happy moments", will forever be remembered by her. We know Mike is resting in the arms of Jesus, in eternal peace.
