Michael J. Santaspirt, 72, of Venice, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Michael was born on April 28, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Pennsauken, NJ. He raised his family in Merchantville, NJ before moving to Sewickley, PA and retiring in Venice, FL.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vickie (Mummey), 3 sons, Michael (Christina Ernst), Matthew (Laura Wachter), Patrick (Annaleen Bautista), and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jackson, Chase, and Julian, and many nieces and nephews.

He was a talented graphic designer and a Program Director at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Technical Institute who generously volunteered his time as a youth sports coach for his children's baseball teams, a semi-professional football coach for the Butler Bears in Butler, PA, and a founding member of the Merchantville Task Force where he designed the town's logo and brand identity. He played drums for Some Other Band, was a member of the Zuczek Race Team, created promotions for Venice Main Street, and his artwork could be seen in the Sarasota Airport, in downtown Venice, on the Merchantville water tower, and in children's books and advertising campaigns worldwide.
