Michael Carey Sempsrott was born on April 6, 1955 in Lebanon, Ohio and was suddenly called home to the Lord on May 31, 2021.

The youngest son of John and Carrie Sempsrott, Michael grew up in Tarpon Springs, Florida and attended Florida State University, earning Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Nursing before moving to Lee County in May of 1984.  He earned a Master's degree in Nursing in 1992 from Florida International University.

Michael worked for Lee Memorial Hospital, Dupont Pharmaceuticals, and Florida Neurology Group, among others.  Serving as a Cub Scout Den Leader in Pack 66 and at First Presbyterian Church as a Sunday School teacher and choir member.

Michael enjoyed playing guitar, reading and exploring the waters around Pine Island.

Michael was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Marie Summerall and is survived by his wife, Pati Sempsrott, son, Andrew Sempsrott, brother Jack (Angie) Sempsrott and sister Marlene (Ken) Dove, numerous nephews, cousins and in-laws.
