Michael J Sokol, 91 died Friday,August 3, 2012. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He served our nation in the United States Army during WW II. Michael reitred from Link-Belt after 24 years of service. He retired to New Smyrna Beach in 1968 and was a communicant at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and founder of the Silver Sands Association. He leaves his wife Mildren a nephew and a niece. He was preceded in death by his first wife Amy. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church at a later date.
