Michael Paul Thompson, 55 years of age, passed away Friday, March 22 ^nd , 2019 , at home in Ocala, FL after a long battle with synovial sarcoma caner.

Michael was born December 29 ^th , 1963 to his parents, William and Mina Thompson, in Buffalo, New York.

Michael joined the United State Navy and served his country for 13 years before being honorably discharged as a Petty Officer First Class C-130 Flight Engineer. He was a 100% disabled Veteran due to his heart condition. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Conservation Club.

Michael loved to hunt.  He also loved sports; especially the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.  Michael was a family man, as everyone knew.  He especially loved to spend time with his granddaughter, Audrina. He adored her and she meant the world to him.

He was a man of good humor who loved life and had a heart of gold.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, Tracy of 34 years; daughter, Megan (Joshuah) and son, Christian; granddaughter, Audrina Cortes; his added daughter, Olivia Fuller; sister, Debbie Maxwell and brothers, Bill, Greg and Sean. He had many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family and close friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Michael's memory can be made to the Veteran's Memorial at Hospice's Estelle House in Ocala, Florida.
