Michael John Ulvila, age 70, passed away on April 12, 2025, in Ocala, Florida.

Michael was born on November 2, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois and spent his childhood in Blue Island. He later settled in Glendale Heights, where he lived for over 30 years before relocating to Cape Canaveral, Florida and eventually making Ocala his home in 2017.

Michael was a great husband and father. He had a passion for traveling, music, and concerts. He enjoyed playing bocce ball, riding around in his golf cart the "Moorglade Mover", and spending time with friends and family.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Karlie Ulvila and Colleen Ulvila; brother, Edwin Ulvila; nephews Dan, Alex, and Jason Ulvila; niece Michelle Ulvila; and his goddaughter Elisabeth Sebburn. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Ulvila; his parents, Toivo and Belle Ulvila; and his brother, Jacob Ulvila.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The time spent with him will never be forgotten. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held in Illinois in the coming months, bringing together family and close friends to honor his memory. The family welcomes any stories or memories you wish to share, as they offer great comfort and help keep his spirit alive.
