Michelle "Shelly" Muratore, 35 of New Smyrna Beach was called to be with the Lord on November 17, 2013.  She passed peacefully in her sleep.  Shelly was born July 20, 1978 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  She moved to New Smryna Beach in 1999 from Grand Haven, MI.  Shelly and her mother own and operate Tailblazers Pet Salon in New Smyrna Beach.  Devotion to her family, her love of animals, enjoyment of photography and her caring nature made her the beautiful person she was.  She is survived by her son, Christian Cody Bates; parents, Robin and Tim Muratore; Christian's father, Richard Bates; step children, Camryn Flanagan and Preston Bates all of New Smyrna Beach; brothers, Cody and his wife, Sarah Muratore of Grand Haven, MI and Christopher Muratore and his loving companion, Nicole Graves of Orlando, FL; aunts, Bonnie Hess and Carrie Vierhile; nephew, Jacob Lockwood and numerous cousins and extended family members.  Her precious dogs Rio and Dexter will miss her dearly.  A memorial mass will be held 9am, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association http://www.diabetes.org/.
