Worked for Mobil Oil Co. in Venezuela; Dresser Industries Security Rock Bit Division in New York, Louisiana, Texas and London, England; Vice President of the Security Division.

Retired in 1985 and consulted for one year.

Lived in Huntsville, TX at Elkins Lake from 1985 till 2008; moved to North Fort Myers, FL.

Resident of Del Tura Golf & Country Club; active in Men's Golf Association; duplicate bridge group; FISH; and weekly volunteer at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, FL.

Survived by his spouse of 65 years Ann S. Ekas; children David Miller Ekas, (wife Marian) and Susan Ekas Dupré (fiancé Robert Mang); grandchildren Miller Ekas, Sarah Smith, Chris Dupré & Nick Dupré and nine great grandchildren.
