Myron Parsons, 99 of The Villages, FL, formerly of Horseshoe Bend, AK, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016 under the care of his devoted caregiver, Daisy. He was born in Leavenworth, KS and was a retired firefighter for Fort Leavenworth. He proudly served his country as a Seabee in the US Navy during WW2. Up until the age of 92, he worked with his youngest son doing landscape maintenance 40 hours a week. He played golf and softball during that time also. His favorite song was "Show Me the Way to Go Home."

He is survived by his four children: Sherry, Trudy, Jerry and Larry, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the New Covenant Methodist  Church of The Villages on Saturday, February 27th, 2016 at 11am.
