It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Myron Pilling (Mike) on June 5, 2023 at his residence in Leesburg. Mike joined the Navy during WW II as an Ensign after obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the American Theatre of Operations.

While in the Navy he met the love of his life. Ruth and Mike married in '47' and later had three children. After 61 years of marriage, she passed. He later relocated to a 55+ community here in Florida. There, he was very active in the Singles Club organizing luncheons and traveling with club members. He eventually moved to a senior living facility in Leesburg, where he enjoyed walking, Sunday Services, dining and Wii Bowling with new found friends.

Mikes interests over the years included hunting, bowling, boating, snowmobiling, RVing and cruising. He especially enjoyed his years on the Great Sacandaga Lake in upstate NY. Mike is survived by three children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A special thank you goes out to his niece, with whom he had frequent conversations.

He will be laid to rest in Bushnell National Cemetery with his wife. Anyone interested in making a contribution in his honor please consider his favorite charity St. Josephs Indian School of South Dakota.
