Nancy Lee Speer, 71, of Pittsburgh, passed on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Nancy will be remembered by her father, Herbert Fetzer, cherished children, Brie Anna (David) Boers and Tony Scott (Kara) Speer Jr., her loving grandchildren, Greta, Hunter, Cody and Cameron, her sisters, Christy (Mike) MacFarlane and Patty Fetzer, her nephews, Vince (Angela) Cobb and Jeff (Erin) Cobb, great nephews and niece, Jacob (Chelsea), David (Jaimi), Brennan, Kaelan, Finley, and her great-great nephew, Carter. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Fetzer. Nancy grew up in Rockville, Maryland before moving to Pittsburgh and graduating from Fox Chapel High School. She loved her time working as a preschool teacher at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church and Shady Lane School. She later moved to Florida to be closer to her first granddaughter and enjoy the warm weather. More than anything, Nancy loved spending time with her children, their families, and her friends. Nancy loved the beach and flowers. We are very grateful for the care and friendship from Terry, Pat and their team from Vitas and from the staff at The Commons. A celebration of life will be announced on a later date.
