Nellie Bob Smith (85) originally from McRae, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 29, 2025 in Tavares, Florida.

Nellie was born on May 15, 1939, in McRae, Georgia to Gladys and Robert Smith. Nellie was the 5 ^th of 12 children. Nellie graduated, Valedictorian, from Twin City High School in 1958. She was married in 1961. Nellie worked various jobs and eventually moved to Florida. She was well known as "the lady who rode the bike". She worked and retired from the City of Sanford where she was recognized as Employee of the Month for March and April 2001 and Outstanding Performance as a Team Player for April 2000. Nellie loved growing flowers and plants. She was friendly to all that had a chance to meet her. Nellie is predeceased by her Parents Gladys and Robert Smith, sisters Della Mae, Ernestine, Geneva and brothers Jake, Leroy and Robert.

She is survived by her husband Elijah Hamilton, daughters Maurice and Cynthia, son Carnell, grandchildren, Devry, Cheyonna, Alesia, Natonya, Tavares, Courtney, sisters Mary, Vera, Maggie, brother William, and many nieces, nephews, great grand and great-great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
