Nelson Arthur Prentice, 92, of Ocala, FL (formerly of Milford, CT) passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Haven, CT , in 1932, to the late Clifford & Mae Prentice. Nelson later graduated from Stratford High School, proudly served in the US Navy as a Gunner's Mate during the Korean War and was the past secretary in the Milford Civitan Club. He loved watching all sports and being with his family.

Nelson is predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Virginia Ruby (Griffith) Prentice.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Prentice (Barbara); daughters, Cynthia Malse (Gary), Sherry O'Donnell (Robert) all of CT, Bonnie Bouffard (Daniel) of FL, and Michele Lichtenberger (Glen) of SC; grandchildren, Kyle Prentice (Christine), Holly Stavert (Robert), Scott Prentice (Nixida), Christopher Malse, Nicholas Bouffard (Alicia), Allyssa Bouffard (Michael), Ashley & Alexandra O'Donnell, Cory Lichtenberger, Amber Franks (Judson), Shauna Patrick (Dylan); great grandchildren, Brooke, Brynn, Oscar, Aubrey, Charlotte, Calli, Shelby, Landon, Jaxon and Paige; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 1-3pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 954 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ste. 200, Ocala, FL 34470. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County.
