Nelson Strimple peacefully passed on March 8, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 12, 1942 in Pennsylvania and raised by Edward "Pete" and Sophia Strimple in Warren, OH with his four younger brothers, Ed, Barry, Bob, and Jim. Nelson went on to graduate from Champion High School in 1960, and soon after met the love of his life, Carol Strimple. Nelson and Carol tied the knot in 1967 and shortly after moved to Strongsville, Ohio. Here they raised two loving children, Amy and Brett. Nelson had a successful career in the industrial heating industry, running and later owning his own companies where he was known as a man of his word. He reluctantly retired just one month before his passing. Nelson and Carol enjoyed their last eight years together in the much warmer climate of The Villages, Florida, where Nelson spent his time relaxing, golfing, and getting together with friends and family. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, integrity, and love of his family. He is survived by his wife Carol (Pearsall) Strimple, daughter Amy (Jerry) Zeleny, son Brett (Becky) Strimple, grandchildren to whom he was "Papa": Morgan Zeleny, Nelson (Taina) Strimple, Mitchell (Ally) Zeleny, John Strimple, and Sam Strimple and great grandpa to Cooper Zeleny. He was one of a kind and will be forever missed by his family and friends.

The celebration of Nelson Strimple's life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM followed by a luncheon at Coconut Cove. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of the one Nelson loved most, his wife of 55 years, Carol.
