The Family of Nicholas John Gildea, with great sadness, announce his passing. Nicholas was born February 27th 1978 in Albany, NY and attend school in Schenectady, NY. Served proudly for the United States Navy for 5 years as a Petty Officer Hospital Corpsman, receiving multiple accommodations for his work as a field medic. He was stationed in Rota, Spain and Pensacola, Florida. After an honorable discharge, moved to Lake Mary, Florida where he has been a resident. He worked several years in the automotive industry. The past several years working as an installation/service technician of medical equipment all across the United States. Nicholas is survived by his children Alexander and Mackenzie Gildea, his parents Thomas (Jillann) Gildea, and Paula (William) Sampson. His siblings Erin (Jason) DeVoe, Lindsay Gildea, Leighanne (Christopher) Lee, Ryan Thoma, and Kimberly (Adam) Sampson, Beth (Bryon) Flanigan, Michael Sampson. Also survived by his grandfather Eugenie Guillaume and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas C Gildea, Geraldine Walsh, Norma Guillaume, Grace Schubnel, his Uncle David Guillaume, Aunt Jaqueline Stack. A military memorial service will be held later in the month at Cape Canaveral National cemetery.
