Nicholas Leonard "Nick" James, 75, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. He was born in Garrison, North Dakota to Clifford and Rose James. Nick worked as a heavy mechanic in the coal mining industry. He was US Army veteran and will be interred at the Dakota Veteran's Cemetery in Mandan, ND.

Nick was predeceased by his parents, first wife, Ann James in (2006) and brother Dennis James.

He is survived by his wife Ann James of Ocala, daughter Carolyn (Rick) Fode, son Donald James, stepson Troy (Sandra) Buckelew, stepdaughter Tess (George) Coleman, brothers Tim (Rebecca) James, Tom James, Mike (Mary) James, sisters Donna James ,Pam (Rich) Rice, twelve grandchildren,and nine greatgrandchildren.

Nick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family was everything to him. He loved playing golf and taking road trips.

A memorial service with military honors is being planned for June, 2022, (date to be announced), at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
