Nicholas "Nick" John Sanders, went home to be with the Lord on March 17,2018. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Sanders of 16 years and his siblings; Ida Forsythe of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Marcy (John) Plattner, Peter (Wanda) Sanders, Karol (Carl) Weston, Alex Sanders, and Steve (Arlene) Sanders, all of Bellingham, Washington.

Born August 25,1937, to Leo John Sanders and Sarah Marian (Richey) Sanders in New Port, Washington He was the oldest of seven. At the age of two, his family moved to Lopez Island, Washington. Nick worked in road construction and was a member of the International Union of the Operating Engineers. Nick's passion was flowers and plant and was a gifted gardener. He will be greatly missed.
