For our loving mother, Norma Jean Gibbs, born June 9, 1943 passed away July 14th, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. She was born is Leominster, Mass. Her parents were Leo and Eileen Contois. She is survived by her siblings, Kathleen Booth, and Bernard (Sandy) Contois, her children, Candace A. Pouchie-Gibbs,and Timothy R. Gibbs, grandchildren, Lisa M. Flores, Christina L. (Carlton) Kingdom, Katherine A. Pouchie, great grandchildren, Candace, Kristy, Michael, Jr., Breanna, Jasmine, Kayla, Victoria and Alayna, and one great great granddaughter, Evelyn.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend to all who knew her, always concerned with the needs of others, but mostly she was a Mom to her two children, Candy and Timmy and also her closest granddaughters Lisa and Christina. She leaves an empty place in the hearts of her sister Kitty and her brother Bernie.
Her son Timmy's love for his mother is unending and his heart forever missing her love and care.
Her daughter Candy who will be forever changed by the lost and absense of her mother's presence in her life. My heart and arms long for her embrace once more and once more again telling me you sure smell good.
A Poem long ago written by her daughter, Candy to her mother Norma Jean Gibbs, She's Someone Special To Me. Dedicated to her on Mother's Day, May 9th, 1999.
She's special to me because she can
look into My Heart and see right
through, She knows when I'm happy
she can see when I'm blue!
She encourages me when I'm ready to give up
because she knows, she's made me tuff,
and the Gibbs are made of Good Stuff!
She's strong willed, no-one can push her
around, but when she's happy, she can be
quite a clown!
She was there in the beginning, she's here
right now, somehow I know when I need her
she'll always be around!
You know Mom I lOVE ya, to me your the best,
Your hugs are comforting and your kisses so
dear, just keep on being my someone special
all through the year!
Happy Mother's Day
Your Loving Daughter
Always and Forever; Candace XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
