Andrea Ptuyac passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025 at the age of 62. She is survived by her daughters Jenifer Yourgal and Heather Reinhold. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child.

Born February 17, 1963 to parents Andrew and June (Hendrix) South, now both deceased. She was the youngest of 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by Myra South and Katherine Buckman; and survived by Melinda Smith and Susan South. In June 1981 she married James Huge Ptuyac until his death in June 1987. In September 1988 she met Shane Paul Locke who was a beloved partner of 31 years until his death in December 2019.

Andrea lived with passion and authenticity, shaping her life exactly as she wished. A devoted Christian, she drew strength from her faith and shared that faith with those around her. She was an avid animal lover and a gifted artist, finding beauty and inspiration in the world and expressing it in her own unique way. She created magic for her daughters and grandchildren, pouring her heart into holidays, birthdays, and everyday moments. The lessons she taught carry forward into their adulthood, a testament to the profound mark she left on their lives. Andrea will be remembered for her laughter, her spirit, and the unwavering love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.
