Obituary

Arlene Mae Rashky, 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 30, 2025 at Chatham Glen Healthcare in The Villages, Florida.

Arlene was born January 15, 1945 in East Moline, Illinois to Harold Graham Campbell and Mildred Marie Walker.  Arlene graduated in 1963 from Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Illinois.

Arlene was first married to Oscar J Gottardi and they had a son named Oscar J Gottardi II and a foster daughter Margaret Zapata.  Arlene was a book keeper at two of Oscar's schools Van-Gorder Walden and Near North Montessori in Chicago during the 70's and 80's.

Arlene first met Leonard during the early 70's and reconnected long after their divorces in the early 90's.  Len and Arlene were married December 31, 1992 and lived in Clive, Iowa.  They bought a house in Des Moines, Iowa.  Arlene retired as a bookkeeper before moving to Lady Lake, Florida to be closer to family.

Arlene and Len liked to travel and their favorite trip was to London and Paris.  Len and Arlene were avid collectors of coins, stamps, and trains, and other things of their interest.  Arlene's eldest sister Betty Quinn passed away in 2020.

Arlene is survived by her son Oscar J Gottardi II, sister Dee Coziahr, nephew Barry Coziahr and his wife Claire Coziahr, his daughters Sarah Schaller and husband Cole and Renee Homeyer and husband Taylor and son Henry, niece Jackie Hultquist and her husband Brian and their three sons Mason, Cooper , and Luca, nephew Todd Basham(Betty's eldest son) his children Tim Basham and Ginny Basham, nephew Mark and Teresa Basham, their children Cody Basham and Justin Basham, nephew Kevin Basham and his daughter Tori Mullane,  Margarets's daughter and granddaughter Amanda Clemente and her daughter Emma Mansfield, sister in law Sandy Mele, niece Dena Hein and her husband Chris Hein, and their two sons Scott Hein and Kevin Hein.  Arlene's husband Len Rashky passed away Sunday September 28, 2025 at home in Lady Lake, Florida.  They are no longer in pain and they are together forever.  LOVE
