Arthur Shaw Weise, formerly a longtime Westport resident, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 93.

Art served in the Air Force for 4 years and followed this service by opening Weise Insurance Agency in Westport. While a resident, he served as President of the Chamber of Commerce, President and State Director of Independent Insurance Agents of Westport, Member of Westport Recreation Commission, Member of Westport Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Directors of the Red Cross. He also served as a Director of County Federal Savings and Loan Association.

Art was an avid deepsea fisherman and boater and belonged to Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Jupiter, Florida where he served as President of the Jonathan's Landing HOA and enjoyed his passion for golfing and fishing. Currently he resided in Ormond Beach, Florida.

He is survived by his wife Susan, his children Stuart, Brad and Wendy as well as his stepchildren Kristen Janiszewski and husband David, and Eric Anderson and his wife Alison.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
