IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara
Parker
April 28, 1952 – November 26, 2025
Barbara Ann "Barb" Parker
Barbara Ann Parker, lovingly known as "Barb," passed away on November 26, 2025, at AdventHealth Waterman Hospital in Tavares, Florida. She was born on April 28, 1952, in Eustis, Florida, grew up in the Apopka area, and later made her lifelong home in Lake County. For forty years she lived in Mount Dora, and in her later years resided in Grand Island, Florida.
Barb was the very definition of a loving, caring, and kindhearted soul. She deeply loved her family and never missed an opportunity to proudly talk about her children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen. Her faith in Jesus was strong and unwavering — she carried a quiet confidence in knowing she was going to Heaven. Independent, resilient, and steady, Barb lived her life with a gentle strength and a heart that always had room for others.
For more than 40 years, Barb worked as a loan processor, beginning her career at Barnett Bank, where she dedicated 20 years, and later spending the remainder of her professional life at First National Bank of Mount Dora. She took great pride in her work, building trusted relationships within her community and supporting countless families through her dedication and care.
Barb loved reading and, above all, cherished time spent with her family. Her greatest accomplishments were not measured in titles or awards, but in the love she gave, the support she selflessly offered, and the stability she provided to those she held close. She always tried to help others when she could — her mother, her sisters, her kids, and her grandkids — a testament to her generous spirit and the legacy she leaves behind. Barbara Ann "Barb" Parker
Barb is survived by her son David Parker and his wife Heather, and her beloved grandchildren, Lilly Parker and Kolton Parker. She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Bailey and Emma Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Evelyn Harvey; her husband Danny Parker; her son Michael Parker; and her sisters Linda Welch and Mary Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Grand Island Resort Clubhouse, 35907 Citrus Blvd, Grand Island, FL 32735. In honor of her personal requests, the service will include Elvis songs and the Lord's Prayer. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
