Obituary

Bobbi J. Averill, 71, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully in her beloved home after a fierce and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 3, 1954, in Hastings, Michigan, to James D. and Gladys Jean Anderson. Surrounded by love, Bobbi was taken home to our Lord on December 23, 2025.

Bobbi was the heart of her family and the definition of warmth and kindness. Her smile could light up any room, and her laugh was joyful and contagious, she made it impossible not to laugh along with her. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved, whether you had known her for years or only moments.

She is survived by her devoted mother, Gladys Jean Anderson; her loving husband of more than 41 years, John P. Averill; and their cherished children Brad Kittinger, married to Keri Kittinger, Erin Marion, engaged to Greg Edwards, and Nikki Reed, married to Parker Reed.

Bobbi was a proud and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren: Kayli, Ben, Jamie, and Eli Kittinger; Autumn and Abigail Marion; and Alyssa, Owen, and Samantha Green. Being "Grandma" was one of her greatest joys, and she poured endless love into each of their lives.

A proud graduate of Fort Myers High School, Class of 1972, Bobbi remained deeply connected to her roots and cherished time spent reconnecting with her fellow "Greenie" friends. Those friendships meant the world to her and reflected her lifelong loyalty and love for community.

In addition to her deep commitment to family, Bobbi was a respected businesswoman. In 2000, she and her husband, John, founded Associated Construction and Development, Inc. , where she proudly served as President . Together, they built not only a successful business, but a partnership grounded in trust, hard work, and shared vision; values Bobbi carried into every aspect of her life.

Bobbi's faith was a guiding force, providing her strength, grace, and compassion throughout her life. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and community. Though her time with us feels far too short, the love she gave and the lives she touched will endure forever.

She is sorely missed and will be lovingly remembered always.

Psalms 56: 12-13 "My vows to you I must perform, O God; I will render thank offerings to you. For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life".
