Carole Caborn, Orlando, daughter of the late Andy and Sue Gresko, Wheeling, WV, passed away on December 3, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
Carole was a proud West Virginian, who moved to Florida in 1979. After marrying Rod Caborn in 1981, Carole and her husband lived in Tampa, and in 1989 settled in Orlando, and later in Winter Park where they lived for 21 years. They moved to the College Park neighborhood of Orlando in 2021, a neighborhood she adored.
Carole's professional career included a lengthy time in retailing, followed by positions in insurance and real estate. After retiring in 2008, Carole and her spouse enjoyed travel to destinations that included Antarctica, Scotland, England, Austria, Argentina, Chile and Canada. She was a graduate of Central High School, Wheeling, WV and Massey Business College, Atlanta, where she studied fashion design and retailing.
Carole particularly valued her role served as a loving grandmother to Kate Caborn, born in 2008, with whom she had a very close relationship, along with Kate's father Michael Caborn and his wife, Kristin, all residents of Orlando.
Carole was great fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team, and, with her spouse, enjoyed attending nearly 100 major league baseball games during their 44-year marriage.
Carole is survived by her husband, Rod and her sister, Rebecca (Becky) Clay and Becky's spouse, David Clay, Asheville, North Carolina.
