Fuller
August 29, 1941 – October 31, 2025
David Allan Fuller, 84, peacefully passed away at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, October 31 st , 2025 with his loving wife, Sandy, by his side. David was born, August, 29 th , 1941 in Hickory, N.C . He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Estelle Fuller (Griggs).
He attended W.R. Mills High School in Louisburg, North Carolina where he served as class president his junior and senior years, played football and was in the Concert Band.
David was a devoted Tar Heel, graduating from University of North Carolina, with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a member of the North Carolina State College Men's Glee Club. David founded DAFCO Paper Sales.
David had a lifelong passion for singing and especially loved religious, classical and country music. He sang in many church choirs across the United States while traveling in his motor home, including rehearsing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He was invited to sing with May Festival Chorus in Cincinnati, Ohio where he was nicknamed "David the Basso." David sang in several choruses in and around The Villages including Village Voices, Brothers-in-Song, Millennium Master Chorale, The Villages Philharmonic and North Lake Presbyterian Church Concert Choir. He was an avid golfer, a member of Kenwood Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio when he lived there. He also enjoyed sailing, snow skiing, jogging, old cars, cooking and especially traveling via motor home within the U.S.A. and Canada. David was an active member of F.R.V.A. (formerly F.M.C.A.) based in Cincinnati. He served on the Constitution and Bylaws Committee. Also, in F.R.V.A., he served as President and National Director of two chapters of the Frustrated Maestros.
In his retirement years David moved from Cincinnati to The Villages, Florida where he continued his golfing and travel. In the heat of the summer he enjoyed campfires at his cabin in the mountains of Georgia.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife Sandra A. Fuller (Thomas), predeceased by his wife Patricia Fuller(Odom), his sons David Jr. (Stacey) Fuller, Steve (Kirki) Fuller, Walter Aaron Fuller and stepdaughter Leslie (Sean) Mertens, 6 grandchildren, Jacob Fuller, Greyson Fuller, Georgia Fuller, Harrison Fuller, Katie Mertens, Patrick Mertens and siblings Erwin (Nancy) Fuller and Mary (Dascheil) Propes. He had several nieces and nephews.
He had two beloved, family dogs Chessie and Lexi that he enjoyed taking on their daily run with his red scooter.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11 A.M. The Celebration will be at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodridge Drive, The Villages, Florida 32162. 352-750-4529
