Survived by beloved wife Florence Korpi; daughters Darleen Korpi-Schneider and Dawn Thomsen; sons Robert Korpi, Donald Korpi and James Korpi; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents Lillian Schultz, David D Korpi; brother Donald A Korpi; his sons Kevin Korpi, David P Korpi; and grandson Nicholas Thomsen.

David's personal life included a love for bowling and socialization as well as volunteer work for those in need such as respite care.   David was a dedicated family man who could sit for hours upon hours with his children and grandchildren laughing about the most minor quotes from an old movie or cartoon.

He will be missed deeply by his devoted family, his friends, and the many whose lives he touched.
