Dulce Freda Jones Marquis (71), of Pierson, FL, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. Dulce was born July 8, 1954, in Boston, MA, and raised by Dr. Claude and Freda Jones in Marblehead, MA. She was educated at Walnut Hill and Colby-Sawyer College.

Her family knew her as a kind, caring, compassionate, generous, and strong woman. As the Campus Advisor at Deltona Middle School, she helped keep students safe for over 25 years and made lasting relationships with many of her coworkers and students.

She is survived by her biological mother, Alice Howard, her loving husband of 49 years, Daniel Marquis, her 3 children, and 5 grandchildren.
