Eileen Elizabeth Lewis, 70, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2025. Known affectionately as "I," Eileen was born on December 16, 1954, in Ogden, Utah.

She graduated from Merritt Island High School in the Class of 1973 and went on to build a successful career in marketing and advertising. Eileen was a vibrant soul with an adventurous spirit. She embraced life fully—traveling whenever she could, cherishing time with her family, enjoying rounds of golf, and indulging in her love of movies. Above all, she had a deep and enduring affection for her beloved cats.

Eileen's warmth, humor, and zest for life touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Hughes Sr.; her stepfather, Sal Tusa; her brother, Daniel Hughes; and her mother-in-law, Johanna Lewis. Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Steve Lewis; her daughter, Kelly Azzinaro (Chad and son Caden); her cherished granddaughter, Lauren Azzinaro; her mother, Mary Tusa; her brother, John Hughes (Coleen); her sisters, Maureen Hughes (Pat), Kathleen Bottom (Bob), and Cristeen Caswell (Glenn); along with many adored nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. And her beloved cat Hatchee who gave her whisker kisses every morning.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Eileen's honor on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Brannon Center in New Smyrna Beach. Friends and family are invited to share their favorite memories and photos of Eileen—either online or during the celebration—as we gather to honor the beautiful life she lived and the love she gave so freely.
