IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank
Barone
October 5, 1949 – November 9, 2025
Deacon Frank Barone, 76, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. Born in Ucria, Sicily, Frank built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, hard work, and love.
He was married to his devoted wife, Marie DeRosso Barone, for nearly 56 years — a partnership grounded in strength, humor, and unwavering devotion. Together they raised four children: Frank (Pam), Michelle (Gregg), Gina (Michael), and Jamie (Tiffany). Frank was immensely proud of his family, which grew to include eight grandchildren — Drake, Frank, Bianca, John, Josh, Giavanna, Abbi, and Sicilia — and three great-grandchildren — Izaak, Victor, and Siena — who brought him endless joy. He had a love for dogs throughout his life; his last dog, Diana, was the apple of his eye.
Frank worked as a machinist for over 30 years at Rockford Clutch/Borg Warner in Rockford, Illinois. Known for his precision and work ethic, he earned the respect of his colleagues and took great pride in a job well done. After retirement, Frank and Marie relocated to Cape Coral, Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine, family visits, and the slower pace of coastal life.
A man of deep faith, Frank was very active in the Catholic Church throughout his life. He faithfully served as a Deacon for over 30 years, sharing his wisdom and compassion with others. He taught Bible study at St. Therese Church in Cape Coral, guiding others in their spiritual journeys, and was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the Third Order Franciscans.
Frank will be remembered for his faith, his loyalty to family, and his deep love of life. His Sicilian roots, sense of humor, and hardworking spirit will live on in all who loved him. A Mass to celebrate Frank's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 5, 2025, at St. Therese Church, Cape Coral, Florida, and at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Rockford, Illinois on January 24 at 11:00 am.
