Gerald J. Donahue Sr., 76, of Ridley Park, PA, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in The Villages, FL.
Born on November 22, 1949, to Joseph and Josephine Donahue, "Jerry" proudly served in the US Army from October 1970 through April 1972. He spent the majority of his life married to Christine Donahue in Media, PA, where he was a fixture in the community. Many people knew and loved him from The Towne House Restaurant where he worked for 40+ years.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Donahue and Jerry Donahue Jr., his brothers Jay Donahue and Robert Donahue, as well as many loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine DePietro Donahue, his parents, Joseph and Josephine Donahue, and brothers, Greg Donahue and Richie Donahue.
Jerry was an avid golfer, enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and was known for his holiday decor that adorned his lawn every winter. Unfortunately, he retired from his career and his light displays when he moved to Florida in 2016.
The family will hold a private memorial with family and close friends in Florida, and are planning an additional ceremony in the Media, PA, area at a later date.
