Glen Wesley Lindsey passed away peacefully, at his home in Indian Land South Carolina, on August 30, 2025. He suffered a long battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
He was born on October 24, 1945, in Johnson City, NY. He graduated from Chenango Valley Central High School and Broome Community C0llege. He also graduated from Cornell University. Glen bravely served in The US Army in Vietnam.
Glen worked for New York State Farm Bureau and American Farm Bureau. He worked as Utilities Coordinator for the McHenry County Department of Transportation in Illinois. Glen and his wife established and ran the Prairie Trail Bike Shop in Algonquin, IL.
Glen is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laura(Dunham) Lindsey. He is also survived by his son Brad Lindsey (Gretchen) and his daughter Caroline Edkins (Richard) and his two grandsons, Colin Foster and Tyler Bates. Glen is also survived by his brother Robert Lindsey (Sandy), and his two sisters, Lorraine (David) Chase and Lola May (Donald) Foote, and several nieces and nephews.
Glen and Laura enjoyed their retirement in The Villages, Florida for the last ten years where Glen enjoyed playing golf.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Glen at 1:00pm on September 13, 2025 at St. Johns United Methodist Church in Fort Mill SC.
