Obituary

Helen Ruth Martin, born on March 14, 1939, in Sandoval, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. She was dearly loved by her beloved husband, Jack Earl Martin, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion to each other.

Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless love touched all who knew her. As a dedicated Jehovah's Witness, she lived her life with deep conviction, kindness, and a strong commitment to her beliefs. Her favorite Bible verses, Mark 12:30 that brought her comfort, strength, and guidance throughout her life.

For the last 16+ years, Helen made her home with her daughter, Ruth and her son-in-law Kenneth, where she enjoyed comfort, companionship, loyalty, safety and the companionship of her beloved cats and animals.

A true animal lover and keeper of all who needed love. Helen had a soft and kind heart for all of Gods creations. That brought her great joy throughout her entire life.

Helen R Martin is survived by her elder sister, Mary Jean Farthing. her eldest son Joseph Wade Martin and his wife Sandy (Alexandra) Martin, Grandsons Nicholas Joseph, Jake Lee and spouse Christin Lynn and great grandchildren Dyllan Addison and Jack Elliot. Daughter Ruth Ann Newman (Martin) and younger son Dan Martin, and his son William Anthony Sides (Martin) and great granddaughter, Aulbrey Rose Sides(martin) and many other families, friends and loved ones, and all who knew her and the lives she touched with her kindness and warmth she shared with any and all who knew her.

Helen's legacy of compassion, strength, faith, and love will continue to live on through the family and friends she cherished so deeply. She will be forever missed and always remembered and dearly loved, our lives will never be the same without her guidance she will forever carry us through.
