Iris M. Verrone, 99 of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025.

Until the end, Iris maintained her kindness, grace, compassion and appreciation of love of family. She was born in New York, New York to Theodore and Catherine Solheim.

She had a long and loving marriage to Gustave Verrone for more than 63 years. She was employed at the New York Telephone Company until she retired in 1993 to Florida with her husband. Her faith was important to her and she was a devout Catholic.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Theodore Solheim and Joseph Solheim, two sisters, Audrey Ford and Eileen Schauble.

She is survived by a sister Ruth Ivanescu and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was an inspiration of love, faith and kindness to all who knew her.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Prince of Peace Church at 600 S Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on November 3, 2025 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
