James L. Norwood, 93, formerly of Springfield Mass passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Cape Canaveral Hospital. He is survived by his children, Michael, Elizabeth Fields, and John. Grandchildren, Alexandra, Adam & Christian, and his great-grandson Elliott. He is predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Roy), his parents, Earle and Marguerite (Browne), his 2 brothers, Earle Jr. and Peter and his granddaughter, Abigael. He worked in finance, credit and collections and was affectionately known as the "Bagman". He served in the Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in July 1955. Born at Fort Wright on Fisher's Island, NY, he made his home in Western Massachusetts until moving to Orlando FL in 1990, When he retired in 1997, he moved to Daytona Beach Shores and finally settled in Cocoa Beach in 2016. He was an avid golfer, loved sports especially college football and basketball and he enjoyed a good game of poker. Services are planned for March 2026 with internment at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 US Hwy 1, Mims Florida
