It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, James Phillip Davis, (90) formerly of Pittsburgh, PA.  Jim passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 5, 2025.

Jim lived a full and happy life both in Pittsburgh and in Florida.  A true lover of sports, he was a basketball referee for both high school and junior high, and an avid golfer, and hunter.   He  was also a truly gifted baseball player.  As a young man Jim had the once in a lifetime opportunity to try out for  MLB's New York Giants as a pitcher.  Jim even organized and started the first Pittsburgh Club in the Villages.

Jim was the beloved husband of Shirley Davis (89),  who passed away April 2024.  They were married for 66 wonderful years.  He was also the loving and devoted father of Karen and Barbara Davis.  Both still reside in Pittsburgh, PA.

A Funeral Mass will be said in his honor at St. Timothy's Catholic Church 1351 Paige Place, The Villages on Wednesday, September 10th at 8:30 am.

Our darling Dad will be missed every minute of every day.
