It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean C. Rotunda, lovingly known as "Jeanie." She passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at Heritage Oaks Assisted Living in Englewood, Florida, after bravely struggling for many years with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare and devastating form of Parkinson's disease.

Jeanie is survived by her devoted husband of forty-three years, Eugene "Gene" Rotunda, and her three beloved daughters: Donna Jean Connor, Julie Ann Rotunda, and Sarah Louise Rodgers (Colby Rodgers). She was a cherished grandmother to three grandchildren: Kelby Herrera (daughter of Donna Connor), Rylee Rodgers, and Reagan Rodgers (children of Sarah Rodgers). She is also survived by her loving sisters, Terry Palmer (Fred), Amy Jackson (Richard), Marsha Costello, and Lee Costello, as well as her brothers, Timothy Costello (Phyllis) and Patrick Costello (Joan).

At the time of her passing, Jeanie was sixty-nine years old and residing in Rotonda West, Florida, with her beloved husband. She earned her associate's degree in interior design from Bauder College, graduating magna cum laude. Jeanie worked alongside Gene in his building business as an interior designer, contributing to the design of several churches, commercial buildings, and many residential homes.

Jeanie was also a dedicated college-level field hockey official for many years and proudly officiated and participated in the Empire State Games. She embraced life fully and enthusiastically shared in all the activities Gene introduced to her, including riding her own Harley-Davidson, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, and horseback riding.

Jeanie will be remembered as a thoughtful, kind, and truly wonderful woman. Everyone who met her was instantly drawn to her warm spirit and beautiful smile. While her passing leaves a profound sadness in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, singing with the angels, and free from suffering.
