Obituary

Jerry Watts, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna Belle and Varnell Watts, and two sisters, Marilyn (Jo) Humphreys and Sandy Schwepler. He was born in Mishawaka, Indiana, and lived a full life centered around love of family, hard work, and joyful times.

He was married for 63 years to his wife, Judy, creating a legacy of love and togetherness. He was a proud father of two daughters, Susan Boyd, husband (David), and Teresa Zeltwanger, husband (Paul), and seven grandchildren: Mark Boyd, Derek Boyd, Alex Boyd, wife (Sarah), Alyssa Bourget, husband (Jeremie), Austin Zeltwanger, wife (Brianne), Lindsey Olszeski, husband (Brandon), and Isaac Zeltwanger, wife (Korryn). Four great-grandchildren, Sophie Boyd, Aubrey Boyd, William Zeltwanger, and Daniel Bourget, brought him much joy, pride, and happiness.

He was honored to serve in the Air Force for four years. Afterward, he went on to build a successful career founding Valley Knolls Properties, which he owned and operated for 27 years. Beyond his work, he was an avid reader, loved playing poker and all kinds of games, riding his bike, and playing golf. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He will be remembered for his quiet ways, loving heart, and kindness. He will be greatly missed; he will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
