John (Jack) M. Pettus of Port Orange, Florida passed away December 5, 2025, at the age of 77. Born November 20, 1948, to James and Vera Pettus, in Miami, Florida.

John served in the U.S. Navy for four years in Norfolk, Virginia. After the service he began working for General Electric in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was employed for 28 years.

John is survived by his wife Pamela of 57 years, son, James and his wife Ann, two grandchildren; Jennifer Leighton, and Darryl Wells, along with four great-granddaughters; Ivelysse, Isabella, Lillian and Madison.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Halifax Health Hospice – Port Orange Care Center at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 12, 2025.
