Obituary

Tom was the oldest son of the late Loren C. Eddington and Annie Laurie Craig. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ann Gale Holstein. Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Gale; his children Heidi Tillet (and her husband Charles) and John T Edginton, Jr.; his step son Warren Wagner (his wife Daymara); his grandchildren, Sean Tillet (and his wife Hanna), Sierra England (and her husband Eric), Courtney Edington, Kelly Edington, his step grandchildren; Scarlett and Cosette Wagner; his great-grandchildren; Lola Coleman, Lilah Tillett, Summer Tillet, and Parker England.  Tom is also survived by his brother Craig Eddington (and his wife Carolyn), his nieces Laura Fawcett, Haven Murphy, Christy LaSage, and his nephew T.J. Holstein, as well as many other loving family and friends.

Tom served in the U.S. Army 503 rd Parachute Infantry Regiment completing 33 airborne jumps. After his time in the military, Tom had a 39-year career as a mechanical engineer at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral Fl. During his time at KSC, Tom contributed his skill and expertise to the Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle manned space flight programs. Tom was a true American patriot dedicating his life in service to his country.

Tom was member of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Florida, Indian River Lodge 90, for 55 years. During his time with the Free Mason's, Tom dedicated many hours to community service helping others in need.

Tom retired in 2002 and became an avid golfer playing primarily at Cypress Head Golf Course in Port Orange, Fl. He served as the president of the Cypress Head Men's Golf Association from 2010-2011.

Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew him.

A memorial service will be held for Tom at 12 noon on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Flagsticks Restaurant, Cypress Head Golf Course, 6231 Palm Vista St. Port Orange, Fl 32128.
