Joyce Ann Mechler Land, 85, of Homosassa, FL passed peacefully, on Friday November 14, 2025.

She was born in Buffalo, NY on August 15,1940 to Joseph Mechler and Julia Posture Mechler. She married Gary Land in 1983.

Joyce spent her working career in customer service. She spent time working at Sears, The Homosassa wildlife Park, and finally finishing her working life with 10 years at Publix Supermarkets. There is where she formed meaningful relationships with her coworkers and customers alike. She excelled in spreading joy and always took the opportunity to make someone smile.

Joyce Mechler Land is survived by Deborah Haney, Peter Haney, Michele Haney Pendleton, Michael Pendleton, Shannon Haney, Charles Helton, Melissa Meyer, Michael Calderelli, Jennifer Baetzhold, Dylan Carr, Robert Allen, Deanna Meyer, David Simoneit, Julie Barten (Benjamin Rodriguez, Anastasia Wittmeyer, Ezra Wittmeyer) Kassie Barten, Timothy Barten (Timothy II, John, and Jason Barten), Kurt Meyer, Jill Meyer, Raechel Meyer (Toby Meyer), Artemis Meyer, Elijah Meyer, Vigo Meyer, and Percy Meyer.

She was Preceded in death By Brother Joseph Mechler, Wife Diane, Nephew Joseph (Sarah) Mechler, and Niece Janine (Adam) Crandall.

Funeral arrangements will be determined at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
