Obituary

Judith Mae Kostowicz November 11, 1947 – August 3, 2025 Judith Mae Kostowicz, 77, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Florida throughout her life. Judy earned her BSN from Florida Southern College in December 2003 and worked as a Registered Nurse, serving with compassion and dedication. She was a proud member of the Emergency Nurses Association, where her professionalism and kindness touched many lives. Judy was known for her kindness, resilience, and remarkable work ethic. She cherished her angel collection, loved music, and found joy in cooking and baking for family and friends. She also loved shell collecting and walking along the beach, enjoying the beauty and peace of the shoreline. She could even skillfully drive a stick shift, a talent she carried with pride. She is survived by her husband, Steven; children, Steven P. (Samantha), Kristin T., Philip R. (Bethany), and James M. (Sharon); grandchildren, Chloe, Claire, Kyle, Kori, Ivar, Vander, and Leonie; brother, William (Patricia) Bandstra; and sister, Joanne (John) Stacy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Pearl Bandstra, and sister, Karen Lubben. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1715 Taylor Rd, Port Orange, FL. Judy will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the many lives she touched.
