It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Williams announces her passing on November 29, 2025 at the age of 83 in Sarasota, Florida.

Born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, Karen pursued a career in helping others as a nurse. While attending nursing school at West Penn Hospital, she met the love of her life Thomas and they married in 1965. After starting a family, Karen continued her education, ultimately earning a Masters in Business Administration, and worked many years in clinical research. She lived with her family in the suburbs of Philadelphia until she retired with her husband and beloved pets in Sarasota, Florida. Karen was an avid reader, loved to travel, and proudly achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Karen is preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas who passed away only 3 months before her. She is survived by her two daughters Deborah (Bob) Wilding and Cheryl (Jeremy) Vaughn and her grandchildren Rob, Grace, Ben and Alex of whom she was very proud.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life. Karen will be laid to rest with Thomas at National Cemetery in Sarasota. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to the American Lung Association.

Karen will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, pursuit of higher learning, and the lives she touched.
