Kathleen (Kathy) Ellen Quinn passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025 at her home in Port Orange, FL under the tender loving care of the Port Orange Hospice team, (especially Trish and Diane), at the age of 72 after an 8-year battle with lung cancer.

Kathy is survived by her brothers, George Gaborow, James Gaborow, James Quinn, and Edward Gaborow, her sister-in-law's Joanne Kitson and Nancy Quinn, 14 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, cousins, (especially her cousin Laura), and her 47-year partner in crime, Debbie Aarseth

Kathy is predeceased by her mother Mary Gaborow, her father Arthur Quinn, her stepfather William Gaborow and her brothers William Quinn and John Quinn.

The family acknowledges Diane & Carl Cusumano, Jack Gubernator, LaLa Stackow, Carol Curran, Eileen, Owen Alex & Marilyn Zimmerman, Cookie & Steve Quincy, Pauline & Tom Kurpinsky, friends who became family.

Kathy was born in the Bronx, N.Y. and moved to Hicksville, N.Y. where she graduated from Hicksville High School in 1971. In 1998 she relocated to Port Orange, FL.

She worked as a Production Supervisor for a mailing house in Farmingdale, N.Y., and later as a receptionist, for a pet grooming salon in Port Orange, FL., without a doubt this was her favorite job!

If you met Kathy, even just once, you would never forget her infectious, bubbly, kind and generous personality & spirit. She was always the life of the party.

She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, fishing, golf, Texas Holdem poker, traveling; especially taking cruises.

A Celebration of Life service officiated by Chaplin Kennedy Jacobs will be held at the Port Orange Hospice Care Center located at 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129 on Wednesday December 3, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Everyone is welcome to attend a celebration luncheon at Houligans, on Dunlawton Avenue, in Port Orange immediately following the Celebration of Life Service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Tunnel to Towers, Port Orange Hospice, or to your favorite charity.
