Sue was born in Newton, New Jersey to Grant and Beverly Vorhies.  Sue met Ray at work and spent 33 wonderful years together as husband and wife.  They were further blessed with one child, their beloved son Bobby.  Together, they all enjoyed the companionship of their pet dogs Sammy, Maxwell, Winston and Braxton.

Sue has a younger sister, Barbara, brothers-in-laws, mother-in-law, nieces, grandnieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Sue has many friends from homes in New Jersey, Raleigh and Sugar Mill Country Club in New Smyrna Beach.

Sue loved baking, reading, quilting, the beach, youth sports photography and later in life, golfing.  Sue won many awards for accounting in her academic years and was honored to be President of the Sugar Mill Women's 9-hole Golf Association for one season.

The last three years Sue fought a heroic battle against primary peritoneal cancer, exceeding life expectancy models by two to three times.   Sue's positive spirit will always be remembered.

Everyone will miss Sue's delicious holiday cookies, her caring nature, and her laugh and smile.

Eternal rest grant unto Sue, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.  May Sue rest in peace.  Amen.
