IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lamar
Hobbs
March 22, 1948 – October 5, 2025
On October 5, 2025, our Hero, Lamar Chauncey Hobbs was reunited with his wife, Linda, and our Lord Jesus in Heaven. His primary passion was his family, but he enjoyed many other activities.
As a young athlete, he ran track and field and played football while attending Flaget and Atherton High Schools. His passion for music led him to be a member of The Mersey Beats USA. His music endeavors were reprioritized when he became a father in 1967.
His enthusiasm for athletics continued as a football coach (offensive coordinator) for Holy Spirit and the Rams junior team. He later coached track and field at Oldham County High. He was a dedicated tradesman of Local 110, Sheet Metal Workers Union, Pee Wee Valley Masonic Lodge, Past Master, an avid aviation enthusiast and pilot, a caring farmer, and an excellent golfer. His love language was food and anyone who left the house hungry, knew it was their fault because in his words, "Jack's kitchen, open 24 seven." Chauncey was preceded in death by his wife Linda, and survived by his sons Lamar Hobbs Jr, Mitch (Sara) Hobbs, daughter Lisa Odom, and grandson Ian Hobbs (his personal sunshine).
