Leonard (Sonny) Cousens, 78, of Ocala, Florida passed peacefully on August 18, 2025.

Sonny was born in Laconia, New Hampshire on June 26, 1947, to parents Leo Benson Cousens and Beverly Althea (Gagne) Cousens. Sonny married Terrylynn Sullivan on June 26, 1992.

Sonny was a long-haul trucker for around 50 years, once he stopped driving over the road he drove locally. Sonny loved fishing, taking care of his yard and spending time with his grandchildren, family and children.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Terrylynn Cousens, daughter, Billijo Archambault, son, Shane McMaugh, daughter, Tonya Thivierge, daughter, Terrylynn Golding, son, Robert Pontbriant, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, also survived by six siblings, Janice Stone, Arleta Girouard, Sheila Bulch, Jesse Bulch, Ted Bulch and Jody Mitchell.

Sonny requested no formal services. His remains will be scatted at sea at a later date.
